Co Dublin: Starting at €190,000 for a spacious one-bedroom apartment with chrome appliances included, the latest phase of Drynam Hall in Kinsealy, Co Dublin, looks set to be a hit with first-time buyers. Edel Morgan reports.

Located off the Feltrim Road, Drynam Hall is a well-laid out development of townhouses and apartments by Menolly Homes with plenty of green areas.

When the scheme is completed next year there will be total of 380 units.

There will be five blocks of apartments, although Sherry FitzGerald New Homes is releasing just 36 this weekend in a mix of one-bed, two-bed and two-bed with en suite units.

There will be 15 one-bed 57 sq m (624 sq ft) apartments from €190,000, 15 two-bed 70 sq m (763sqft) apartments from €229,000 and 30 two-bed 77 sq m (839 sq ft) apartments with en suite from €235,000.

The blocks are low rise at three storeys and have only 12 apartments each.

Apartments are all of a similar layout with spacious dual aspect livingrooms with a standard timber-surround fireplace and an electric fire.

Off the living area of the show apartment is a substantial decked balcony with a chrome and glass surround; the ground floor units have a patio. Some of the apartments overlook a manicured central green area.

The kitchen is contemporary with chrome appliances and silver-grey units and a granite-effect worktop.

The main bathroom has attractive matt black floor tiles and a shower screen attachment to the bath comes as standard.

Two-bedroom en suite apartments come with fitted walk-in showers off the main bedroom.

The one-beds are unusual in that the livingroom and kitchen is the same size as in the two-beds, and the bathroom of the show apartment actually appears bigger.

Menolly is leaving all of the units in the block open, so prospective purchasers can see what they are getting.

On the top floor, apartments are slightly smaller but have a number of Velux windows on the sloped ceiling of the livingroom.

Drynam Wood has plenty of parking, as well as bike storage and bin sheds.

There are also a few three and four bed townhouses left. The four-bed townhouse has a decking and shed and costs from €345,000. Three-bed townhouses cost from €315,000 and are 180 sq m (1,160sqft). Viewing is on Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
