Show units open this weekend at a contemporary new apartment development with a superb standard of finish near the Blanchardstown centre in Dublin 15.

On the market through selling agent Karen O'Rourke of Concept Design, Amberwood has been built by Shelman Properties and designed by leading architects O'Mahony Pike.

The striking setting, with preserved original gardens and walls from an old house formerly on the site, provides a wonderful mature setting for this small 24-unit scheme.

Prices are competitive and sizes are good, at €189,995-plus for six one-bedroom apartments of 51 sq m (550sqft). In the majority are 18 two-bedroom apartments of 72sqm (770sq ft), priced from €229,995.

These are unusually high-standard apartments for this price level and the selling agent is a professional designer, so the show apartment is most impressive.

Viewers will appreciate the good balconies, Swedish walnut window frames and beech kitchens with a full range of appliances - a standard of luxury not normally found at this price level.
