A rather unusual property, which is currently being used as a fish processing factory near Ennis, Co Clare, is expected to make around £100,000 when it is sold by public auction later this month. The property, an old cut-stone mill building, is situated at Islandavannagh, on the western shore of the River Fergus and Shannon Estuary, about six miles from Ennis. Accommodation comprises 3,400 sq ft on the ground floor and 1,900 sq ft on the first floor. The ground floor is divided into three work bays, while the upstairs comprises offices and a canteen. Paddy Darmody, of McMahon Estate Agents in Ennis, the agents handling the sale, says the property enjoys spectacular views and could be used for a variety of uses, including a private dwelling. The property will be sold by auction on August 28th.
