Chad Wolf from Carolina Liar tells us what's on his rider
What's on your rider? It's pretty simple. Cheese, granola, yogurt. Two bottles of red wine and beer. Oh yeah, and throat coat tea.
What would be on your fantasy rider?Oh, man, that's a fun thing to think about. A personal chef for the entire crew for the night, then some good wines and a masseuse. The mayor or current high-ranking town official just in case there was a need for political discussions. We would also need new shoes for every show. And just lots of weird, expensive waters, and maybe a guru and green MMs.
What's your pre-gig routine? We really just get our gear on stage, change shoes and shirts, and go for it.
How do you get to the gig?For the most part, we've done taxi and walking. Last year we drove a van to most of the gigs. The nights we get a limo are few and far between.
What's the best gig you've been to?More than likely the Oxegen fest. It was just so big and so strange to be in a new country and get such a reception. Really, it was just an out-of-body experience.
And the worst? The worst gigs we had were promotional shows – there was a gig we did where we went through the kitchen and played to a bunch of guys that really wanted nothing more than to have us out as soon as possible.
Ecologically speaking, are you closer to Radiohead or Motörhead?Somewhere in between. We all do what we can, but Im sure there is more than we can do.
Most embarrassing on-stage moment?I gave a big shout out to the completely wrong city.
What's your crowd-pleasing number?Right now Show Mehas been working so well live. People really get into it.
Chatting between songs – good or bad?It seems good in the right places. Then there are those nights where it's the worst idea ever to open up your mouth.
Groupies – would you?We did, and man it really got out of hand. These days we are on our best behaviour.
Who's invited to your after- show party? If we have one when we get to stay in town everyone is invited!
