. Tomorrow: International Women's Day proper. An art exhibition by the survivors of rape and sexual abuse will be launched in Castlebar, Co Mayo, by Monica Barnes. It marks the official opening of the Mayo Rape Crisis Centre.
The National Women's Council meets in the Pillar Room at the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, at 6 p.m.
The Cork Federation of Women's Groups is having a special dinner and there's a play at ARK in Eustace Street, Dublin, at 8 p.m. which is written and acted by the transition year pupils of Grange Community College, Donaghmede. They have a terrific and persistent teacher. Mary Ryan, who invites everybody to come along.
