"Slow and steady wins the race" is an adage that Broken Social Scene seem to have based their entire output upon. The Canadian supergroup are undoubtedly an "albums" band, and their fourth effort is a similar affair of mostly slow-building tunes with euphoric climaxes. even uncovers a facet previously unheard in their songbook, an intriguing blend of 1970s sci-fi soundtrack and Fleetwood Mac melodiousness. It's more of the same from the rotating collective, but when they do it so well, it's hard to find fault.
