The annual Music Show, set for Dublin’s RDS on October 3rd and 4th, is a chance to catch performances from both up-and-coming and established Irish acts, hear from a variety of industry speakers, and participate in workshops related to the music business.
Live performers at this year’s symposium include Imelda May, The Blizzards, David Kitt, Director and Villagers. They’ll be joined by Republic of Loose, The Coronas, Delorentos, The Chapters and more. Organisers have also promised a host of impromptu live sessions and opportunities for autographs over the weekend.
A collection of Rory Gallagher’s guitars will also be on display at the event, while Christy Moore and Glen Hansard are among the public interviewees. Panel discussions involving film composer David Arnold, Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, Nick Seymour of Crowded House, film director Jim Sheridan and MayKay of Fight Like Apes will also take place. www.themusicshow.ie
