Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's campaign for sustainable fishing is going swimmingly, and now his Fish Fightapp offers a guide to buying, cooking and eating sustainable fish. Fish Fightis handy for foodies, the politically aware and environmentalists. It bluntly lists "fish to avoid" and "fish to eat", and also supplies a variety of sustainable recipes, as well as the option for a fortnightly new recipe. Thankfully, for those who love cod and tuna (like this writer), they're not completely off limits, but Hugh does list the areas where one should source them. Tuna is okay from the Maldives, for example, but not from the Indian Ocean. Disappointingly, the fish-friendly restaurants listed are all in the UK, but at least the recipes go some way to compensate, with tasty, doable dishes and how-to videos. The app also features the Twitter feed and news updates for the campaign. Oh go on, download it, just for the halibut!
