Yeats boys on the big screen

It’s still festival a go-go out there. The Tread Softly

It's still festival a go-go out there. The Tread Softly. event in Sligo, which begins on July 29th, seeks to celebrate the connections between the Yeats brothers – WB and Jack B, if you need to ask – and that picturesque part of the world. The film section comprises three separate programmes, each to be screened at The Model arts centre. Among the pictures to be unspooled we find Sean O'Mordha's Soul of Ireland, a documentary on landscape painting, Bat Eyes, an Australian short based on WB Yeats's poem When You Are Old and Grey, and a vintage study of the poet by George Fleishmann and JD Sheridan.
