. "A Job of Journeywork": an illustrated lecture by Ciaran Mac Mathuna in which he recalls his travels collecting Irish traditional music and song, tonight in the King House at 8.30 p.m.
. Lunchtime recital by Cliodhna Ryan (violin) and Dearbhla Brosnan (piano) on Friday, at the Church of Ireland, 1.10 p.m.
. Pianist Hugh Tinney's programme for his concert on Friday night includes Bach's Partita No. 1 in B flat major, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Raymond Deane's After Pieces Nos. 1 and 2, and Schumann's Kreisleriana, op 16; at Church of Ireland, 8.30 p.m.
. The colourful Children's Day celebrations on Saturday will start with a parade from Boles of Boyle, Bridge Street, at 2.30 p.m.
. A recital on Saturday August 3rd by some of Ireland's most promising up and coming young musicians. Geraldine O'Doherty, harp; David O'Doherty, violin; Gerald Peregrine, cello; Doreen Curran, soprano; Ciaran Nagle, tenor and Deborah Kellegher, piano at the Church of Ireland, 8.30 p.m.
. Folk singer Sonny Condell plays at Mattimoes Bar, Bridge Street at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
. The main art exhibition, which includes work by Basil Blackshaw, William Crozier, the late Alexandra Wejchert and Vivienne Roche continues at the Convent of Mercy Complex.
