A set of 12 Victorian mahogany balloon-back dining chairs sold for £3,000 at a house contents auction in Ranelagh, Dublin conducted by Town & Country.

An early Victorian inverted breakfront mahogany wardrobe made £1,650 and a rosewood fold-over card table from the same period £1,420.

Other prices realised in this sale included: £1,470 for a 19th century bureau; £1,280 for a Georgian mahogany linen press; and £920 for an Edwardian rosewood chiffonier.
