Niamh Brennan has stepped down as a non-executive director of Ulster Bank Ireland following her appointment as chairwoman of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority.

Ms Brennan was appointed by Minister for the Environment and Green Party leader John Gormley, after businessman Gerry McCaughey stepped down from the post last March.

The notification of her resignation as a director of the bank, which came into effect on June 7th, was received by the Companies Registration Office on Tuesday.
