- Irish internet entrepreneur Colm Grealy is back in business, having worked in recent times as a consultant with O2 Telefonica in Europe.
Grealy has just launched DRG.ie (DRG – digital reach group), a mobile internet company employing 20 staff.
He has secured a “significant investment” from Mobile Interactive Group (MIG), a technology company in the UK.
The Irishman would not say how much MIG has invested.
“An investment of €1 million would take us to break even and the initial investment [by MIG] takes us most of the way there,” he added cryptically.
Grealy joined Ireland On-Line (IOL) in 1994 and was managing director until it was acquired by An Post three years later, earning a few bob from the deal.
He subsequently co-founded online.ie and the Dublin Daily newspaper, somewhat less successful ventures.
