Datalex, the troubled Irish technology firm which develops software for the airline industry, has appointed Mr Michael Quinn to its board of directors. Mr Quinn, currently chief executive of ICC Bank, has taken up a position as a non-executive director of Howth-based Datalex.

He joins the firm at a turbulent time when many of its customers are facing severe financial problems following the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Datalex's share price has slumped to just 77 cents over the past two months, down from $2 in early September.
