The Central Bank has issued a warning against two investment firms offering their services here.
Regulators said Futuro Financial and Tortola Capital are not authorised as investment firms in Ireland but have been offering investment services and advice to the public.
Investment firms wishing to operate in Ireland must have authorisation from the Central Bank. Clients of unauthorised firms are not eligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme.
To date, the Central Bank has issued 86 warrnings regarding 160 firms.
