A prominent architectural practice is moving its offices from Dún Laoghaire to Dublin 2 and, in the process, releasing some high profile accommodation for leasing. Horan Keogan Ryan (HKR) Architects is moving from Carnegie House, Library Road, Dún Laoghaire to 1,672 sq m (18,000 sq ft) of offices on Schoolhouse Lane just off Kildare Street.
Joint agents CB Richard Ellis Gunne and Palmer McCormack are quoting a rental price of €270 per sq m for the 628 sq m (6,755 sq ft) to be made available at Carnegie House. Car-parking spaces there are €1,500 each per annum. The accommodation also includes a boardroom with views over Dún Laoghaire harbour. HKR Architects will be letting the third and penthouse floors of their new high-spec offices in Schoolhouse Lane. The agents are quoting a rent of €430 per sq m for the 353 sq m (3,800 sq ft) available.
With around 557,418 sq m (six million sq ft) of projects currently on the drawing board - including Smithfield Market, Bray Town Centre, and Gallery Quay in Dublin's Docklands - HKR Architects has had to expand and restructure its business recently.
